Transportation
From the Dish Hotel to de Wilmersberg
For those of you who are staying at the Wilmersberg on Friday evening,
we have arranged for a van and two cars to take you there after dinner.
From the Wilmersberg to the Church
Again, a van and a few cars are available to bring you to the church
and back.
From the Dish Hotel to the Church
You can take the bus to get to the Church. Take line 3 from the train
station at 10:10 am. Verify at the front desk that these time is still
accurate. Once on the bus, ask the driver to signal you when the bus
is near the kerkstraat, and walk the last bit to the church. The route
of the bus and the location of the church are indicated on this map.
However, it is a lot easier to ask the front desk to call a taxi. It
is probably a good idea to order the taxi the evening before. A rough
guess is that the taxi fare would be about 40 guilders.
From the Church to the reception site (de Wilmersberg)
A van and several cars are available to take everyone to de
Wilmersberg.
From the Wilmersberg to Schiphol/Amsterdam
Again, the van will still be there on Sunday to get you to the train
station. There are two trainstation to leave from. The first is from
Enschede (see below), the second is from Oldenzaal. The latter is the
closest to de Wilmersberg. The earliest train leaving from Oldenzaal
is at 8:04 am, which will get you to Amsterdam at 10:30 am, and to
Schiphol at 10:40 am. You will get on in Oldenzaal, and get off at
the second stop (which is also the last stop). If you get on a train
leaving at 37 minutes past the hour, you are on the direct train to
Amsterdam/Schiphol. If you get on the train leaving at 7 minutes past
the hour (which go to Rotterdam), you will have to change trains in
Amersfoort. Usually, the train to Schiphol is on the other side of the
platform. Please note that the trains to Amsterdam and Schiphol are
combined trains that are seperated in Amersfoort. Make sure you are in
the right part! The destination is usually posted on the outside
of the train, close to the doors. If you would like to find out more
about the train schedule, have a look under finding the trains, where an
explanation of the Dutch rail website is given.
The van will only be available until about 11 am. If you want to leave
later, you can take a taxi.
From Enschede to Schiphol/Amsterdam
The earliest train from Enschede to Schiphol on March 11 is at 7:58
am. It will get you to Amsterdam at 10:00 am, and to Schiphol at 10:10
am. Trains leaving at 2 minutes to the hour are indirect trains (which
go to Rotterdam), and you have to change trains in
Amersfoort. Usually, the train to Schiphol is on the other side of the
platform. The trains leaving at 28 minutes past the hour are direct
trains to Schiphol/Amsterdam. Please note that the trains to
Amsterdam and Schiphol are combined trains that are seperated in
Amersfoort. Make sure you are in the right part! The destination
is usually posted on the outside of the train, close to the doors. If
you would like to find out more about the train schedule, have a look
under finding the trains, where
an explanation of the Dutch rail website is given.
